Prosthetic dentistry

Minimal pain, maximum beauty

Dental prosthetics is a kind of dental care aimed at restoring the lost anatomical shape and function of teeth and dentition. Thus, prosthetics can be roughly divided into prosthetics of teeth and prosthetics of dentition (in the absence of more than one tooth). Prosthetics is the most demanded rapidly developing dental and service: new materials and computerized equipment are producing. Prosthetic dentistry is carried out in conjunction with all organs of the dentoalveolar system. In order to take into account the future teeth shape in conjunction with the temporo-mandibular joint (TMJ) with complex integrated rehabilitation, we use a special device – articulator and facial arch.

Microprosthetics

Microprosthetics is widely used in dentistry. When the tooth is destructed by 50%, aesthetic ceramic inlays are used, which are not only harder and more aesthetic than traditional light-cured fillings, but also much more durable

Aesthetic prosthetics

It is the most popular type of prosthetics. Aesthetic veneers are used in cases where it is necessary to correct the shape and color of a tooth or several teeth. Most often, prosthetics applying veneers affect 6-10 teeth on the upper and lower jaws, through which the most aesthetic result (“Hollywood smile”) is achieved. Veneer Prosthetics applying has its own strict indications and contraindications and are only one of the aesthetic tooth prosthetics options

Prosthesis in case of odontoclasis

If the tooth is destructed by more than 60%, then it is first necessary to restore the tooth stump, and only after that to prepare a tooth crown for the restored stump. To do this, special inlays that restore and strengthen the remaining tooth tissue are used. We use inlays of cobalt-chromium alloy, gold-platinum alloy and computer-pre-milled zirconium dioxide. Metal-free crowns are more aesthetic than metal-ceramic crowns, characterized by high-strength and durability, high-precision.

Our crowns:

  • the teeth are “grinded” for all crown types only with aт abutment shoulder that allows the crown to be made without a transition, where the plaque and food residues may be retained
  • in the process of the teeth grinding for maximum accuracy, binoculars are used, which allow to increase the visibility by 3.5 times
  • Before the permanent crown placement, we necessarily use temporary crowns

Prosthesis of defects

Depending on the location of missing teeth, we use two prosthetics options to restore them:

  • prosthetic bridges (bridge)
  • implant prosthetics

Zirconia prosthetic bridges are closest to modern quality standards. The advantage of bridges is the prosthetics efficiency.

Implantation is the most reliable, comfortable, biological and modern method of prosthetics. The implant success reaches 99.8%. With the help of implants, it is possible to completely restore missing teeth with non-removable crowns.

Clinical case

Issue
The “Dental Profi” clinic was visited by the patient with complaints of the difficult food chewing, associated with the chewing teeth destruction; an aesthetic defect associated with poor crowns on the anterior upper teeth.

Solution
A detailed examination showed the functional inability of the available crowns on the upper and lower jaws, the need to place new crowns on the existing damaged teeth and the aesthetic failure of the anterior upper teeth crowns. It was also necessary to correctly plan the prosthetics on the existing implant.
